Green Mountain Landscaping Inc.

About Green Mountain:

The foundation of Green Mountain started in the spring of 1988 at the age of 9 I started "Edging by Nick" I began with my red wagon and a few tools. What started as a flower bed and driveway edging business slowly began to grow. Neighbors would start to ask for flowers, and shrubs. By age 14 I had begun small scale mowing. Green Mountain Landscaping Inc. was incorporated in the state of Maryland in January 1999. We still operate on the same principles I did when I was 9. Every customer is special and important. I am still involved in all day to day operations. I perform all estimates personally and respond to all request for service or estimates within 24 hrs. We may not be a large nationwide company with 50 crews but we can handle any project from small plant installs to large residential and commerical installations. All calls to our office are either answered by myself or by my Mom "Lisa".  If you have any questions or comments please feel free to call our office.

Thank you

Nicholas Belback

What is M.H.I.C.?

The Maryland Home Improvement Commission licenses and regulates home improvement contractors, subcontractors and salespersons.

Home improvement work includes alteration, remodeling, repair or replacement of a building or part of a building used as a residence.   Home improvement also includes work done on individual condominium units. The Commission investigates complaints by homeowners, and prosecutes violators of the home improvement law and regulations.

The Commission has a Guaranty Fund established by assessments to licensed contractors. This fund compensates homeowners for actual losses due to poor workmanship or failure to perform a home improvement contract by licensed contractors. Each licensed contractor is covered by the Fund for up to $100,000 for all claims by homeowners. Homeowners who entered into contracts with licensed contractors can recover up to $15,000 for their losses. There is no recovery from the Fund for losses due to work done by unlicensed contractors.
